"I think it has changed in the sense that, again, I value the time for me more. I absolutely realize that I can do things in smaller chunks and not be overwhelmed with trying to set aside an hour or hour and a half.
But if I can do 15 minutes here, 15 minutes there, the stretch breaks that we talked about—like getting up and stretching, getting up and moving, setting those little timers on my calendar that say, ‘Get up and move,’ or ‘Go take a walk’—that has definitely changed.

Hi there, I'm Marie, a certified yoga teacher and a transformational life coach. I guide clients like you through personalized one-on-one coaching, teaching them to nourish their bodies and minds NOW while setting the stage for a retirement that's not just healthy but thrilling and fulfilling.
I started my yoga journey back in '97. The serenity it offered was my sanctuary. However, as a civil rights lawyer, my job was demanding and all-consuming. I barely had time to breathe. I stopped taking care of me.
My blood pressure increased, sleep eluded me, I gained a few extra pounds, my brain was lost in a fog, and I was very cranky.
My husband lovingly warned me I was on the path to a retirement filled with chronic disease.
I unrolled my yoga mat, and did just 15 minutes of yoga and 5 minutes of meditation each day. It was amazing! I felt stronger, more flexible, my blood pressure decreased, I lost weight, and I slept.
